Biography: Cab was destined to be a doctor. He had an amazing
bedside manner and had a mind perfectly attuned to be a walking medical
dictionary. His private practice was so successful it allowed him to
afford an impressive home in Cambridge and three ex-wives. Still, his
dream was to own a bar. This dream was realized when he learned a dive
in Waltham called Chip's Food & Spirits was about to be sold by the
owner. Immediately Cab snatched the place up and began renovations.
Unfortunately for Cab, theme bars - especially medical theme bars - were
a lot better received in Japan where he'd seen them originally than
stateside. The old customers refused to frequent because they missed
their old hang out. New customers refused to visit because the theme of
the bar unnerved them and the prices were too high. The first months of
St. James's Pub was, to say the least, disastrous.
Thankfully for Cab, he was able to hire on PeeJee who helped not only
whip the pub back into its former glory but bring back most of the old
regulars. They do occasionally butt heads - usually over Cab's hiring
practices - but for now it's a harmonious partnership.
