Can It Be March Now?
February 18, 2009
News posts again! Hot damn!.
Webcartoonist Karen Ellis of Planet Karen has hit some unfortunate
luck with a recent house fire. If you can spare a couple of bucks, she'd appreciate any help you can offer as she
rebuilds ... well... her life. And if you can spare some time and you've not done so yet, give her comic a read.
On the home front here, I have two events coming up. March 20-22, I will be in Easthampton, Massachusetts, for New England Webcomics Weekend. If you're into webcomics, this is the
event to attend. April 3-5 both Clarine and I will be in St. Paul, Minnesota, for Anime Detour. Other guests include anime voice actors Greg and Chris Ayres
and webcomics troublemaker Pete Abrams of Sluggy Freelance.
For those of you who don't read the top of the front page, my laptop is having... issues. I hope to have it checked
out soon. It might be the fan. Dunno. Until then, I'll be on the computer at my parents house during "business
hours" (8am-5pm CT), trying to get store orders done and just work in general. To most of you, this means nothing,
but I'm gonna be a lot slower on replying to emails (yeah, that's a scary fucking thought) and slower with Twitter
stuff until this all gets sorted out. Plus, I'm a bit part in a show that opens this weekend (I forgot how much I
really hate the play Romeo & Juliet).
Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, I've reduced a few things to raise money for any repairs/replacement of laptop I
may need to do: Original Art Grabbags are
currently 2 for $15; all greeting
cards and postcards are on sale for the rest of February. Oh, and we have a new design available on shirts and babydolls sure to touch you deep
inside... but you better not tell anyone. Or your parents won't love you anymore.
You see somethin' you like?
Now, a scary note. Well, scary to me. I'm still getting emails demanding I actually write Holy Shit Shiny Vampire Love Ponies. I'm... actually considering it. I did
an outline.
Oh, God! I did an outline! Quick! Someone distract me with something shiny! -R.
