Yesterday, author Lloyd Alexander died. He was 83 years old. He gave
us many wonderful stories including the Prydain Chronicles. His wife,
Janine, passed only two weeks before. Condolensces go out to his family
and the rest of his fans.
The amazing Phil Foglio of, among other projects, Girl Genius, resported
recently that his wife and partner Kaja was hospitalized over
complications with Chrohn's disease. Two days later she was able to come
home, thankfully. If you can, drop by and send them some well
wishes and maybe buy a book or ten - hospital visits ain't cheap. If
you've never read Girl Genius, don't you think it's about time you
started?
And finally, Meredith Gran, an amazing artist and now animator, has
started a new comic called Octopus
Pie. I got a sneak peek and liked it a lot. Go give it a look -
there's only three comics in the archive now. I think you'll enjoy it.
