  1. I’m sorry it’s a hard year Randy, but on the plus side you’ve got octogenarians with cartoon feet fetishes to anger.

  2. You have my sympathy for the hard year. I look forward to all your comics and I hope next year is better for you.

  3. Happy belated birthday, we’re all glad you made it to 50. I share your pain about this having been a terrible year, but surviving it out of spite is better than not surviving it at all! Just keep doing what you’re doing, might not always feel like it but you’ve got this.

  4. As someone who’s nearly 50 and starting year 2 of the hardest year of my life, happy birthday & hang in there.

  5. Might not matter too much, but this comic has given me and my friends literal YEARS of happiness. So thank you.

  6. It has been a horrible year for a lot of people. You’ve been strong and able to get through it. Happy belated birthday, and many more!

  7. Hang in there and continue to let spite sustain you. A very underrated emotion, spite. It can keep you going when hope and determination have failed.

    1. Wouldn’t be a first. Besides as older comics have already stated, spite is hell of a driver to succeed and outlive your enemies.

  8. Congratulations on making 50, Randy. Still love the comic. Thanks for keeping it going come hell or high water. You’re a star.

  9. Congratulations on making it to 50, and I’m sorry to hear this year has been so hard. I consider it a privilege that I’ve been able to follow you through your comics and art for nearly half that time.

  10. Joining the chorus, happy birthday! Glad you’re still with us, and hopefully for many more (and better) years!

  11. here’s to 50 more randy! thanks for still pumping out content. can’t wait to be able to see the older comics again but good things come to those who wait.

  12. After reading this and the 7 December 2025 Thimble Theater, I feel like Olive was channeling you in the Thimble Theater topper.

  13. Many of us have felt we wouldn’t make it, but we still have made it and have made tried to make it a better place with a family and showing that we are not alone.
