… Sorry. I know I’ve been insanely quiet. I am still dealing with my own depression issues. I’d rather not really get into it beyond that because, when I do, I get a lot of “helpful suggestions” that get shockingly judgmental or make a lot of weird assumptions. –R.

I always appreciate the comics, and I look forward to reading them when I see them pop up in my feed – however (and whenever) they show up.
Thanks.
I appreciate the comics and have for many years, thanks for making and sharing them. I don’t expect them on any schedule so it is always a bright spot in my day we’ve you post.
Hope you are finding ways to help with the depression, commiserations from afar.
My thoughts exactly! I always smile when I see SP pop up on my RSS feed. Thanks for the comics Randy.
Hey RK, that sounds awful, I’m sorry people can’t behave. Hope you get better soon!
I hope you feel better soon! Thanks for the decades of comics! Take care!
Love the comics and I greatly appreciate you. Your first year got me through some bad times.
I’d like to give you a thumbs up on Choo Choo Bear’s expressions. They’re great.
I’m going to snigger at the text, but … not gonna use watchlistable words myself. I like my job and ability to pay my bills.
a) Does a “general knowledge of history” include the fact that there were no airports during the American Revolution?
b) As someone who has severe depression issues myself, I’ll just say that I know where you’re coming from, and leave it at that.
{{hugs}}
We get it, hope you feel better soon. Depression’s a b!tch! X
Many years ago a Spanish cartoonist made a comic of then prince, now king Charles of England, visiting a Spanish beach, with a dozen crabs hanging from his famously huge ears, and another crab snapping its claws “damnit, he is asking for it”. It’s the same kind of humor than the joke Davan refuses to state out loud. Just less dangerously so.
No judgement, no suggestions, just genuinely glad to hear from you. Echoing what others have said, it’s always a bright spot when we get another post, just glad to know you’re still kicking.
Happy Cinco De Julio! And you don’t owe explanations to anyone on this side of the screen, especially when you’ve given us so much fun and happiness over the years. I hope things get easier for you and you find a more pleasant baseline to build off of, but that sentiment is from human-to-human, not a entitled-fan-to-desperate-creator. The real ones will hang around and wish you well all the same, whenever you are ready to pop back in. 🙂
Hope you’re feeling even moderately okay. Life is tough and things are weird. Depression is hard. We’ll be here when you post, I think we’re all just hoping you’re alright.
I’ve been reading this comic for a long time. Met you at a few conventions. Care about you as a person, my dude.
I’ve been reading you for decades, and I’m always happy to see another comic from you.
Same here.
Glad to hear from you buddy, doing another re-read from the start
Just nodding in agreement with the others here… Wishing you well, Randy.
’nuff said.
Wishing you well, and also trying to stay off the same lists – love you, your work, and the snippets of your family we see. <3
Thank you for the comic! We love you. Big hugs ((((((((((((Randy))))))))))))
I have read your comics for over 20 years now, and I don’t think I have ever left a comment.
You need to take care of you first. You cannot warm others by setting yourself on fire. Don’t worry about us fans, we will be fine, though some of us will inevitably worry for you.
Your work is consistently quality, your humor is properly dark, you are loved by many more people than you will ever know.
Thank you for today’s comic. Please take care.
Oh Good, you’re still alive.
No judgement, got my own black dog to deal with. See you in the funny pages.
