  1. The retrospective cringe of your twenties is real, PeeJee. At least your obsession treated you well; mine treated me like s*** and I took it for YEARS.

  2. Randy as far as sad brain years go, it’s not exactly unreasonable to be honest. Really is going to hell in a handcart and despair is a reasonable response.

  3. I dunno, I’ve gotten progressively gayer as I’ve gotten older. In my 20s I would’ve identified as straight, now that I’m in my 40s I’m definitely bi. Well, I was always bi but now I understand that I am.

  4. Near as I can tell from my gay friends, yes, they do spend the second half of their life gayer than the first half.

Second half they stop giving a fuck. Maybe they were always that gay, but it’s way more visible.

Side note: glad to have proof of life. Take care of yourself, it’s a sad time. Gotta be careful or it makes the sad brain worse.

  5. “That’s probably as gay as Davan’s gonna get”

That’s a shame, cuz I bet Vanessa would be thrilled to see Davan get railed by Jihm.

  6. Came back after 20 or so years just to notice everything is pretty much the same over here. How affirming! Also noticed we’re the same age.

Back then, in early 2000’s, I was a conservative Christian but also a lifelong lover of comics and maybe not as narrow-minded as one could assume. Your characters caught on me and I read all the years of backlog at work. 😅

Thank you for feeding the gen X idgaf side of me during that time.

  7. There ain’t much I, a complete stranger, can say to help. But I wish you the best. Your comics have been a one-sided friendship for me through my whole career, and I treasure the laughs you’ve given me.
